The suite offers simple management and powerful features. However, it lacks a number of features that its competitors provide.
AVG's anti-virus protection is certified by all five of the certification bodies that we included in our evaluation. Virus Bulletin scores it in the 90-percent range cumulatively, and it is Checkmark Platinum certified by West Coast Labs. However, it is ISCA certified in detection but not in cleaning. AV-Test.org gives it an average score, and AV-Comparatives.org gives it a low score.

It quarantines and cleans infected files, but it does not provide a description of the malware, nor does it provide rollback functionality or frequent system backups.
